Service numbers

At present, Evira has, in addition to the exchange number, separate service numbers for hygiene proficiency and importers and exporters of pets. At the bottom of this page, there is a special e-mail address for questions concerning rabies antibody tests.

• Service hours: Weekdays: 8.00-16.15.
  
• Local calls: Calling Evira's service numbers from Finland cost a local network charge or mobile phone charge.
  
• Calling from abroad: When calling to Finland from abroad dial first the international access code in the country concerned (marked "+"), then the country code 358 for Finland and the Finnish area or mobile code omitting the zero (0). The zero in the mobile / area code is used when calling in Finland.

Helpline for importers and exporters of pets (EU-countries, Norway and Switzerland)

• Service number: +358 (0)29 530 0401. Open on Mon-Wed from 9.00 am -11.00 am. The helpline will answer questions concerning import requirements for pets from all countries and the import of animals from other EU countries.

Rabies: enquiries about antibody tests

The results of rabies antibody tests may not be given by telephone or e-mail. We aim to send the test report to the customer within 2 weeks of the receipt of the samples, usually by post.

  We ask that telephone enquiries are avoided.
  
• Services for veterinarians: We aim to answer questions from veterinarians on weekdays from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm. Veterinarians may call for rabies antibody tests through the Evira exchange.
