The Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira has around 700 employees. The head office is located in the Viikki campus area, in Helsinki. Evira also has 8 regional offices. Evira’s meat inspectors work in slaughterhouses throughout Finland.
Among our recruitment needs we are seeking widely recognised experts in animal diseases and agriculture and forestry, specialists in food safety and monitoring, and professionals in meat inspection and slaughterhouse hygiene.

Evira’s departments and units are each responsible for their own recruitment of trainees. Each year around 40–50 trainees from universities and vocational high schools work at Evira, including those writing their master’s theses.
Job vacancies for university trainees are sent direct to the universities and these are posted through the universities’ own forums. Other applications for trainee positions can be sent direct to the Evira departments or units of interest to the applicant.
