The pre-notification (CVED) of a consignment must now be filled out in more detail. If there are goods or animals with differing CN-codes, all codes must be entered into the CVED. If there is only one CN-code, the code must be entered several times for each type, class, or family. Different species can be selected without entering the CN-code several times. The amounts must be entered separately for each CN-code, type, class, family and species.
Note, in many cases the CN-code must also be declared in more detail, usually in 6 - 8 digits.
The attached example (link on the right) demonstrates how the same CN-code has been entered twice. Even though the type ‘By-products / feedingstuff’ is the same in both, the code has been entered twice in order to select two different classes, domestic bovidae and domestic suidae. In this example, the family selection is not necessary, but the appropriate species have been selected for both classes.
The amounts must be entered as a total for the whole consignment, as well as separately for each CN-code, type, class, family and species.
