Invoicing

Finnish Food Safety Authority does not handle paper invoices

The Government is moving to electronic invoicing. Electronic invoicing leads to cost savings and transparency of invoicing. Processing the invoices becomes easier, faster and more environmentally friendly. After 2009, the Government will only accept e-invoices. Also attachments will be accepted electronically.

You will need the EDI-code of the receiving Government Department in order to transfer to electronic invoicing. More information on the transfer to e-invoicing can be obtained from

State Treasury, e-mail address: paperiton@valtiokonttori.fi
Your own agent for e-invoices
Itella Information Oy HelpDesk, e-mail address: helpdesk@itella.fi

Also Evira handles and files the invoices electronically, and we are asking you to send your invoices to us as e-invoices. As the invoices are circulated internally, we ask that you make sure that the name of the client and the ordering unit (costing unit) and other details that will make it easier to process the payment, are on the invoice as reference.

We accept e-invoices via the invoicing services for electronic invoices provided by Itella Information Oy.

Our invoicing address for e-invoices is:

EDI-code: 003720194885
Business ID: FI 2019488-5
Electronic Invoicing Operator: Itella Information Oy

Our contact at Itella: Puh. 0205 388 500

If you are not yet using electronic invoicing, the invoices are to be sent to the address below where the invoices will be converted into electronic format:

Finnish Food Safety Authority
PO Box 7567
01051 LASKUT

It is important that no material other than invoices including attachments is sent to the invoicing address, and that the attachments are not stapled together. In accordance with the service agreement all material that is not invoicing material will be removed, and it will not be sent on to the Food Safety Authority. Other material has to be sent to the address Mustialankatu 3, 00790 Helsinki.
