National legislation
Finland’s legislation and the case law of its higher courts is
compiled at the Ministry of Justice’s FINLEX website. Legislative
information in FINLEX is organized into six databases. The database
of translations of Finnish acts and decrees contains translations
of Finnish Acts of Parliament (mostly in English). The consolidated
texts of acts and decrees (in Finnish and in Swedish) and the
original texts of acts and decrees are in separate databases. The
legislation reference database contains a list of amendments made
to any act or decree. All Sámi language acts and decrees are also
available. The most recent acts can be found daily in the
Electronic Statutes of Finland.

The section of secondary legislation consists of four databases. One of them is the database of the decrees, decisions and regulations of Ministries and government agencies which are available in Finnish and Swedish (Decrees of Ministries))
The Electronic Statutes of Finland database is designed to look the same as the printed books of Finnish statutes. You can print out pages of text or entire booklets which look exactly the same as in the printed publications. Using the legislation database is free of charge but requires registration.
EU legislation
EUR-Lex
The EUR-Lex website lists current Community legislation in various languages. Issues in the L series and C series of the Official Journal of the European Communities (OJ) are available in PDF format (identical to the printed version) free of charge for 20 days from their date of publication. The consolidated EU founding and other treaties, and treaties pending ratification, can also be found there, together with current legislation, consolidated versions of texts and recent court rulings.
CELEX
Celex is a comprehensive and reliable source of information on EU law. The service is subject to a fee and contains the full texts of legislation documents in several languages. CELEX also contains the national legislation giving effect to Community legislation in each Member State, and the database can be searched for documents referring to a particular legislative act. The founding treaties and the rulings of the Court of the European Communities are also in the database.
You must pay a fee to use the CELEX website.
Eudor
Eudor is the electronic archiving system of the Office for Official Publications of the European Communities (EUR-OP). Users can order legislation documents and other documents for a fee (electronic document service). The system contains all issues of the Official Journal of the European Communities (OJ) from the beginning of 1996. The OJ contents list is available through Eudor free of charge on the date of publication.
EUR-OP website
The website provides links to all EUR-OP databases and lists and to EUR-OP news (with information on more than 25,000 documents and publications).
EUR-OP publications, books on EU law, EUR-OP databases and CD-ROMs are available at Akateeminen kirjakauppa (the Academic Bookshop).
