Chain of origin of the forest reproductive material

Evira issues master certificates to forest tree seeds and cloned seedlings and supervises chains of origin, which form the precondition for granting certificates.

Supervision of forest tree seeds’ chain of origin covers all stages of seed production, from the collection of cones or seed to their extraction, purification, packaging and marketing.

Supervision of clones’ chain of origin includes supervising the authenticity of clones propagated vegetatively from registered clones, alongside ensuring their identification and separation at the various stages of production and marketing
