Plant propagating material

The production, sale, import and export of plants for planting and other propagating material must take account of the requirements specified in both the Act on Protecting Plant Health (702/2003), concerning the prevention of harmful plant diseases and pests, and those of the Plant Propagation Material Act (1205/1994). These regulations specify requirements for plant health, quality and the labelling used in sales. The aim is to provide professional cultivators and consumers with high-quality plant material free of diseases and pests.
