Legislation for plant propagation material

Plant propagation material regulations comprise the Plant Propagation Material Act (1205/1994) and plant category specific decrees and decisions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Certified plant production is regulated by a special decree (9/2006). Except for the decree on certified plant production, Finland’s national regulations are based on the corresponding EU regulations.
