The following fruit, berries and vegetables require a phytosanitary certificate for import from non-EU countries:

From all non-EU countries:

  • Citrus fruit ( Citrus, Fortunella, Poncirus and hybrides thereof)
  • Bitter melon ( Momordica)
  • Aubergines ( Solanum melongena)
  • Celery ( Apium graveolens)
  • Basil ( Ocimum)


From non-European countries:

  • Apples (Malus)
  • Annona, sugar-apples ( Annona)
  • Quince ( Cydonia)
  • Kaki plum ( Diospyros)
  • Mangoes ( Mangifera)
  • Passion fruit ( Passiflora)
  • Cherries and plums ( Prunus)
  • Guava ( Psidium)
  • Pears ( Pyrus)
  • Currants and gooseberries ( Ribes)
  • Lingonberries and blueberries ( Vaccinium)
