Defence of doctoral dissertation: Enhancing the efficacy of local official food controls in Finland

This doctoral dissertation seeks to identify background factors affecting the efficacy of local official food controls, including opportunities for enhancing such efficacy at various levels of the control chain. The thesis also explores the homogeneity and quality of such controls, as well as the available means of enhancing them.

Ms Tiina Läikkö-Roto (Msc, Veterinary Medicine), who is employed at the Food Hygiene Unit of the Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira, will defend her doctoral dissertation at the Department of Food Hygiene and Environmental Health in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Helsinki.

The dissertation will be presented on Friday, 11 November 2016 at 12:00 hours, at Biokeskus 2, Auditorium 2041, Viikinkaari 5, Helsinki.
