Public examination of dissertation 24 November 2017: European bat lyssavirus type 2 (EBLV-2) in Finland

The dissertation analyses the occurrence of European bat lyssavirus type 2 (EBLV-2) in Finnish bats, characterises the identified viruses and assesses the protection provided by the rabies vaccinations in use.

Tiina Nokireki, Licentiate in Veterinary Medicine, who works in the Virology Research Unit at Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira will defend her doctoral dissertation in the Department of Veterinary Biosciences of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Helsinki.

The public examination of the dissertation will take place on Friday 24 November 2017 at 12.00 p.m. in Auditorium XII in the main building of the University of Helsinki, address Unioninkatu 34, Helsinki.
