Defence of doctoral dissertation, 28 September 2018: Acute phase proteins in healthy and sick dairy and beef calves and their associations with growth
The dissertation investigated acute phase protein concentrations in calves as a response to inflammation in connection with various diseases. It also studied the association of acute phase proteins with the long-term growth of calves.
Licentiate of Veterinary Medicine Leena Seppä-Lassila from the Risk Assessment Research Unit of the Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira will defend her doctoral dissertation at the Department of Production Animal Medicine in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Helsinki.
The dissertation will be presented on Friday, 28 September 2018 at 12 noon in Biokeskus 2, Auditorium 1041, Viikinkaari 5, Helsinki.
