Examples of commitments/salt

Example 1: We will reduce the salt content of our bread products by eight per cent by the year 2020.

Example 2: We will reduce the salt content of our products so that by the year 2020, 80 per cent of all our spices and spice sauces will meet the Better Choice Heart Symbol salt criteria.

Example 3: We will reduce the salt content of our products so that in 2020, there will no longer be any strongly salted products in our product range.

Example 4: We will reduce the salt content of our strongly salted products by 15 per cent by the year 2020.

Example 5: We will reduce the salt content in our cold cuts by 0.1 g for each 100 g between 2017 and 2020.

Examples of commitments/quality of fats

Example 1: We will increase the content of unsaturated fats in our products so that 40 per cent of our products will meet the fat quality criteria of the Better Choice Heart Symbol by the year 2020.

Example 2: We will reduce the content of saturated fats in our products by at least 20 per cent by the year 2020.

Example 3: We pledge to reduce the fat content of our fat-containing yogurts by 30 per cent in 2018. 

Example 4: A total of 50 per cent of our portion meals will meet the Better Choice Heart Symbol fat criteria by the year 2020.

Example 5: Our five top-selling convenience foods will meet the Better Choice Heart Symbol fat criteria by the year 2020.

Example 6: We will reduce the content of saturated fats and increase the content of unsaturated fats in our convenience foods so that 40 per cent of our products will meet the Better Choice Heart Symbol fat criteria by the year 2020.

Example 7: From start of 2018, we will offer our professional kitchen customers at least five different cheeses or cold cuts that meet the Better Choice  Heart Symbol fat criteria.

Examples of commitments/sugar

 

Example 1: A total of 60 per cent of our yogurts and quark snacks will meet the Better Choice Heart Symbol sugar criteria by the year 2020.

Example 2: We will reduce the content of added sugar by 10 per cent in our breakfast products by the year 2020.

Example 3: In 2020, our beverages will have eight per cent less added sugar than in 2015.

Example 4: A total of 80 per cent of our soft drinks will be unsweetened waters or artificially sweetened options by the end of 2019.

Example 5: Our eight top-selling mueslis and cereals will meet the Better Choice Heart Symbol sugar criteria by the year 2020.

Example 6: The number of xylitol-sweetened sweets in our range will increase by 25 per cent by the year 2020.

Example 7: Sweet and soft drink vending machines will be removed from all schools in our municipality in 2018.

Examples of commitments/vegetables

Example 1: We will increase the vegetable content our portion meals so that by the year 2020, 50 per cent of the products will contain vegetables corresponding to at least one portion.

Example 2: Vegetable options will account for 30 per cent of our product range by the year 2020.

Example 3: Vegetable salads and vegetable additions will be placed at the start of the service lines in all our lunch restaurants by the year 2018.

Example 4: By the year 2020, all daycare centres in our municipality will be familiarising children with vegetables, berries and fruits on a regular basis using the Sapere food education method.

Example 5: From the start of 2018, our daily offers will always include vegetables, berries and/or fruits.

 

Examples of commitments/products for children

Example 1: From the start of 2019, all our products marketed to children will meet the Better Choice Heart Symbol criteria.

Example 2: The nutritional quality of our snack products intended for children will be in accordance with the WHO nutrient profile model by the year 2020.

Example 3: We will halve the sugar content in our products intended for children by the year 2020.

Example 4: A total of 60 per cent of the (sales volume) of our yogurts and puddings intended for children will be in accordance with the Better Choice Heart Symbol criteria by the year 2020.

 

Examples of commitments/portion and package sizes

Example 1: By the year 2019, the portion sizes of our products appearing in marketing and communications material and channels will be shown so that they are suited for the situation in question and the targeted consumer group.

Example 2: We will reduce the portion sizes of all our large pizzas by 20 per cent by the year 2020.

Example 3: We will reduce the portions of (energy-containing) beverages included in meals by 20 per cent by the year 2020.

Example 4: In 2019, our ten top-selling products will also be available in packages that are 50 per cent smaller than in 2015.

Example 5: We will introduce smaller plates for main courses in our lunch restaurants in 2018.

Example 6: By the year 2019, all our ready lunch portions will be compiled in accordance with the Finnish food plate model.

Example 7: We will reduce the energy density of our best-selling and the most energy-dense products in (specific) product groups by 15 per cent by the year 2019.

 

Examples of commitments/recipes

Example 1: All our recipes for everyday meals will be in accordance with the Better Choice Heart Symbol criteria by the year 2020.

Example 2: As laid down in the law, the salt content will be reduced in 50 per cent of our recipes by the year 2020.

Example 3: By the end of 2019, all our revised recipes for everyday meals will support the composition of meals in accordance with the Finnish food plate model.

Example 4: We will check the fat quality in all our recipes that will be available to consumers from the start of 2018, and in 80 per cent of them, it will be in accordance with the nutrition recommendations.

Example 5: From the start of 2018, all our recipes will give the energy content* for each portion and from the same date we will also define the size of the portions.

Example 6: From the start of 2019, all our recipes will give the salt content of each portion (all sources of salt and the natural sodium contained in the ingredients as converted into salt will be included).

Example 7: From the start of 2018, the online recipes based on recipes shown in our television food programmes will always give the energy content.*

Example 8: From the start of 2019, the portion-specific energy content in our recipes intended for consumers will be between 300 and 400 kcal.

Example 9: From the start of 2018, we will develop ten new recipes for professional kitchens each year in accordance with the Better Choice Heart Symbol meal criteria and will communicate about healthier products included in our offerings.

Example 10: From the start of 2019, in recipes intended for consumers, we will use foodstuffs meeting the Better Choice Heart Symbol criteria whenever possible.
