Pesticide forbidden in EU found in Spanish Doluz-peppers

The importer Heinon Tukku Oy has initiated action to withdraw Spanish peppers from the market. Analyses performed by the Customs Laboratory have shown that the peppers contain isophenphos methyl, which is not authorised in EU as a pesticide.

Red peppers, brand name Doluz,  5 kg, country of origin Spain

Product has been delivered to institutional kitchens in the Helsinki region and in Southern Finland (approximate area Lohja-Järvenpää-Porvoo). Products have been delivered between 8 and 11 January 2007.
