Pesticide forbidden in EU found in Spanish Murgiverde-peppers

The importer Inex Partners Oy has initiated action to withdraw Spanish peppers from the market. Analyses performed by the Customs Laboratory have shown that the peppers contain isophenphos methyl, which is not authorised in EU as a pesticide.

Red peppers of brand Murgiverde loose and packed, country of origin Spain The product is sold nationwide in all chains of the S Group: Prisma, S-Market, Sale and Alepa, as well as in some individual Spar stores. The products were delivered to the stores between 8 and 12 January 2007.
