IMPORT OF CUT FLOWERS AND POTTED PLANTS

Imported cut flowers and potted plants must not host harmful quarantine pests or diseases. A phytosanitary certificate is required for the import of all potted plants from non-EU countries.

For cut flowers, a phytosanitary certificate is required only for certain species.

A phytosanitary certificate for cut flowers is required for the import of the following species from all non-EU countries:

  • Orchids (Orchidaceae)
  • Chrysanthemums ( Dendranthema/Chrysanthemum
  • Dianthuses (Dianthus)
  • Gypsophilas (Gypsophila)
  • Geraniums (Pelargonium)
  • Goldenrods (Solidago)

A phytosanitary certificate for cut flowers is required for the import of the following species from non-European countries:

  • Asters (Aster)
  • Eryngo (Eryngium)
  • St John's wort (Hypericum)
  • Eustomas (Lisianthus)
  • Roses (Rosa)
  • Blue throatworts (Trachelium)
