Separation and identification of lots

Forest reproductive material batches must be identified and kept separate during all stages of production.

Seedling batches must be kept clearly separate from one another and must display the lot’s code or identifier. The nursery manager must be able to identify the locations of seedling batches (map or chart). In small nurseries, an oral description will suffice. Production documents must contain identifying information. Information is usually verified using data systems or growth register cards.
