Evira to feature at Tietoprovinssi

24.9.2013

Tietoprovinssi is a South Ostrobothnian version of the European Researchers' Night, which seeks to present science and research in a people-friendly, clearly understandable way. The Tietoprovinssi event will be held in Seinäjoki on 27 September 2013.

Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira's Production Animal and Wildlife Health Research Unit, which specialises in diseases affecting production animals and in zoonoses (diseases that can be passed onto humans from animals), will play a particularly strong role in this year's Tietoprovinssi.

Visitors can try out their pipetting skills and microscope techniques at Evira's info point, where a laboratory microscope and material will be available for public use. Members of the public can also learn how to identify different kinds of bacteria. Researchers and laboratory assistants will be on hand to provide instructions and answer questions.

We wish you a warm welcome to discovering the wonders of science at Tietoprovinssi, Seinäjoki.
Tietoprovinssi will be held on the Frami premises, at the address Kampusranta 9.
The event is free of charge and open to all.
