Exposure of Finnish people to nitrate and nitrite


<p>In recent years, nitrate and nitrite debate has been going on in several forums. The Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira has completed a risk assessment report that offers up-to-date information on the sources and amounts of nitrate and nitrite ingested by Finnish children and adults.</p>

A risk assessment seminar relating to the report will be held on Friday 13 December 2013 from 10:00am–12:30pm at Rake Hall in Klaus K Hotel, Erottajankatu 4 C, level 5, Helsinki.

The seminar is open to everyone.

Risk assessment report on dietary exposure to nitrate and nitrite and the new recommendations based on its results will be published on the Evira website at www.evira.fi  on the day of the seminar, on 13 December 2013, at 9:00am. No material will be available any earlier.
